Crane presents Team Of Century Jumper to Yallourn/ Yallourn North Football Club
Three time Carlton premiership player Garry Crane presented the Yallourn/Yallourn North Football Netball Club with his Team of the Century jumper on the weekend.
Mr Crane, who played in five grand finals with Carlton and won the club best and fairest in 1969, was named on a wing when Carlton’s Team of the Century was announced last year.
The jumper he received for the honour was officially unveiled at a ceremony on Sunday morning at George Bates Reserve in Yallourn North.
Mr Crane played in two grand finals with Yallourn North, including the 1963 premiership, before going to Carlton in 1964.
While he named his first grand final with Carlton as a career highlight, Mr Crane said being named in the Team of the Century was his greatest honour.
He also said he was honoured to have been coached in the juniors by recent OAM recipient Alex Macgregor.
The jumper is on display in the social rooms at George Bates Reserve.
